Jacksonville Events at the Jacksonville Automotive and Motorcycle Museum
This is a new venue for 2016 and it replaces St. Augustine, which is currently not allowing autocross events at their location. We are VERY thankful to J.A.M.

This course is a standard parking lot of a mall. Since the section we are racing on is relatively small, the gates have traditionally been kept very tight and the corners come at you fast. Lap times in 2016 were all under one minute.
Like Brookesville, it is easy to get lost in the sea of cones laid out on the surface. Take your time to study the track map and walk the course multiple times if possible. Keep in mind that walking the course gives you a different perspective than when you are in the driver's seat. You may find it helpful to squat down to "driver's level" as you walk to course to get a better idea of what you'll be seeing through your windshield.
If you find yourself with several DNF (Did Not Finish) laps, ask someone to carefully watch you drive the course. They should be able to point out where you are missing a gate. Do your best to slow down the next lap and concentrate on the proper line...THEN you can focus on going faster.
